Lessons from a phone repair

Today I went to an android phone repair shop to bring my old S20FE back to life again.

And behold, the repairman did not disappoint. Board level repair was made and battery replaced, now I got a more midrange phone for my daily needs. Which brings to today reflection points.

1. When you take care of things, they last. Sometimes, they take care of you too.

Yes, I am guilty of not taking good care of my gadgets, but I realized that it's much better to maintain and take care of things, than to repair or replace them once they're broken. Let's take the legendary example, your own body. Feeding it with junk food, skip on your exercise routine and not making sleep your priority, will eventually take its toll, especially once you're in your 40s. Thus folks, take care of the big 3, diet, exercise, and most of all, sleep.

2. Don't be afraid to pay premium for excellent service. Pay peanuts, get monkey.

This phone repair job costs me a little extra than what I expected, but the service, the quality of parts, and the aftersales and warranty made up for the additional costs. Folks, if you have to go to a phone repair, weigh the pros and cons, and the cost versus value analysis before committing your hard-earned money. Check for ratings, and testimonials, and if they can provide a receipt. In the pasts, I've dealt with technicians who charge less and misdiagnose your device. It's better to go to the experts, and if you have warranty, use it, Por favor.

3. Be grateful for the blessing.

Timeless advice, that sometimes I still forget to implement in my life. How lucky are we to have smartphones, and 5G and fiber internet. To be able to blog and share our experiences in social media. Clean water, breathable air, food on the table, in fair health, with love of family, still alive and breathing. Everything is a blessing, if you look at it in positive lens.

Thank God for another day, and another blessing in the form of a repaired phone. Hopefully I can put it to good use, and pay the blessing forward.

Till next time, see you!
